Twenty-seven Former Prosecutors Endorse Rick Guinn for District Attorney

OLATHE— Twenty-seven former Assistant District Attorneys announced today their endorsement of Rick Guinn for the office of Johnson County District Attorney.

“After working side by side with many prosecutors – and both candidates in this race – there is no one I trust more to keep our community safe than Rick Guinn,” said Jacqie Spradling.

Spradling, a Republican, worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Johnson County from 1992-2007.

The twenty-seven former Assistant District Attorneys represent well over 100 years of prosecutorial experience, many of those years working with Guinn to protect Johnson County from violent criminals.

“With over two decades of service as a prosecutor, we know Rick Guinn is the best qualified to return professionalism to the District Attorney’s office,” said Jabari Wamble.

Wamble, a Democrat, worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Johnson County from 2005-2007.

“I am grateful for the support of the prosecutors I worked with,” said Guinn. “We share the same dedication to protecting our community and enforcing the law without political calculation.”

Guinn served as an Assistant District Attorney from 1981 until 2007, and has since continued his service as a prosecutor in the Kansas Attorney General’s office. Over the course of his career Guinn has personally prosecuted over 100 jury trials with a 90% conviction rate.

Rick recently received the endorsement of Firefighter Organizations from Mission, Leawood, Merriam, Prairie Village, Roeland Park, Westwood, Mission Hills, Fairway, Olathe, and southern Johnson County.
